VH x RR is a newish collaboration between Von Hertzog (VH) who I don't know much about, and our good friend, the incredible Rob Rowe (RR) from Cause & Effect and Whitewaits. They are releasing a 4 song + 1 remix EP this Friday, June 12th! The EP is called The Persistence of Memory and will be released on Lakeshore Records. I'm not sure what formats besides digital will be released, so we'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed for vinyl!
So you probably noticed that I called this a newish collaboration. That's because they released one song back in November that was part of a huge compilation. The song is called She Sees A Future and it's available on iTunes. And it turns out that this new EP was actually recorded a few years ago. It sounds like life got in the way for everyone and its release got delayed until now.
VH x RR can be found on iTunes and Bandcamp for downloads (it might be available in other places, but I'm not sure yet) and Instagram and Twitter for social media. (@vhxrr) There's no website or Facebook page for now, unless things really take off.
Here's the official announcement with a little background information:

Oh, I almost forgot. It's pronounced V H X R R. I asked Rob about it because the x was confusing to me. I was afraid that math might be involved. He admitted that it's not a great sounding name. They picked it because it looked cool and didn't really think about how it would sound. But whether or not the name sounds good, the music that I've heard so far sounds great!
So check out the links above, buy what's already available for now, then try to be patient until Friday! It's just a few days!
