Rob Rowe Shows

Hey there, my vast audience. I've really neglected my blog for awhile. Sorry. I've been dealing with some health issues lately, so I haven't felt the slightest bit like blogging. Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'll try to post more about that later.

But for now, even though it's kind of last minute, I must pass this along:

Rob Rowe will be doing 3 (!!!) shows in Texas (yee haw!) in the next couple of weeks!!!!! And 2 of them are with Anything Box! Here's the info:

Saturday July 23rd - Dallas, TX
Rob Rowe acoustic set in support of Fear the Radio’s CD release. Free Show!

I'm not sure if Husband and I will be able to go or not. Stupid life had to go and get in the way of planning. :( So, as always, if you have the privilege of going, please take lots of photos/videos, and post them all over the internet. And tell Rob I said hi.

Until next time. Hopefully it won't be too long.

New look

Don't be alarmed. This is still the same hardly-ever-updated blog you know and love. I just changed things up a little. I'm experimenting with a new look. I got tired of what I had before. It didn't really reflect "me" anymore. I still might make more changes. But for right now, I kind of like this.

I am super sorry that I haven't been here very much in the last 2 years. It makes me really sad. So many things have happened (some really big things) that now I don't even know how to write about them all. And now it's holiday time again (didn't we just do this?) so that will delay things even more. Ugh.

I feel like I just posted my End of 2014/Happy 2015 post, and here another year has come and gone. So depressing. Where did it go? I'm still working on the changes I wanted to make in my life that I talked about in that end of the year post. I'm starting to feel like they might actually happen this time.

I'm already starting to think about New Year's Resolutions for 2016. One of them will definitely be Blog More. I really do enjoy this. I just don't always feel like doing it, but when I do, it's really fun. I need to keep reminding myself of that.

Happy beyond words

I'm a very happy girl right now. Thanks to the marvels of modern technology, I was able to listen to the Whitewaits show in San Francisco tonight. I was so bummed that we couldn't go, but tonight as I was laying on the bed in our hotel room poking around Facebook, I came across a post that mentioned that the club he was at streamed all of their shows!!! So after what seemed like forever waiting for it to buffer, I was able to listen to Rob! He was amazing! Is he ever not amazing? Nooo!!! This was sheer perfection. It's too bad that the club didn't stream video too. I would have liked to see how he was able to pull all of that off all by himself. Like I said:  Amazing!

Since I had to wait for all that buffering, I'm not totally sure if I heard everything, but when it started playing he was singing Always. Then he did Lost Boys, The Way Back, Blackbird Spies, Stare, Happy? (C&E), Hope is the Hardest, Bring on the Dancing Horses, and Island. I think those are in the right order. Whatever order they were in, they all sounded great! He played for about 45 minutes (that I heard anyway.) I hope he can do more shows, like maybe closer to where I am, and not on dates where we have other things going on that prevent us from seeing him. :)

I'm off to scour YouTube for videos of the show.

Whitewaits show

If either of you happen to be in or near San Francisco, my good friend Rob Rowe will be performing there next weekend as Whitewaits! The show is Friday June 12th at 8:30pm at the DNA Lounge. Tickets and more info here:

Please go if you can! Unfortunately, I can't. :( I've been wanting to fly somewhere again ever since I discovered I really like flying, and that would be the perfect place to go, and I need what is turning out to be my once-a-year Rob fix, but Husband and I have this family thing we have to go to that weekend, so I won't be there. Super sad about that. :(

So click on that link up there, buy some tickets, get yourselves there, and have a great time! Say hi to Rob for me. Try to record the show and post it somewhere so I can watch it. Take lots of pics and post them on Facebook. Hopefully he'll be able to do more shows and I can go to one, or ideally, all of them! :)

Until next time...

Time keeps on slipping...

I'm still here. I've been so busy lately that I can't hardly keep track of what day it is. The days are going by scary fast. It's already May. I might as well get the Christmas tree out and put it up. By the time I do that it will be November. It scares me how fast time is flying by. So much to do. So much to blog about. So little time to do any of it. I pretty much owe you guys an account of the past year. That's how far behind I am in blogging. Ugh! Just thinking about it gives me panicky feelings! But for now, at least, I just wanted to let my vast audience (both of you) know that I'm still around.

Hopefully soon...

Let go, embrace the beginning again...

2014 has been a year of crazy-high highs and a year of unbelievably low lows. I'm ready for a new year. A new beginning. A time to start over. I've been slowly crawling out of the hole of depression (again) and I feel like I'm ready to get on with my life. There are new things I want to try, things I need to keep trying, and some things that I need to try all over again. I've set a few simple goals for myself for the year. Nothing too complicated, or else I'll get scared and give up. Just small changes to make, that if made, will make a big difference in how I feel and what I do. Here's hoping I can actually do them.

One of those small things I want to do is blog more. I need to. I've discovered that it really helps me to have a place where I can just empty my head. I didn't empty my head enough this past year and I paid dearly for it. I paid in time lost not feeling well, being so depressed, just wallowing around the house doing nothing. What a waste. That is time I will never get back. If I can prevent this by simply typing my thoughts out here on my blog, isn't it worth it? I'm not saying that blogging will keep the depression away completely, but I know it will help me.

There are other things I want to do, too, but I don't want to take the time to tell you about them now. They will come in future posts. Also, keep an eye out for a recap of 2014, since I didn't get to blog about everything that happened when it happened. I'll do sort of a summary of the year, with longer posts for the most important things that happened.

So here's to 2015. I hope it's a good one for you. Stay safe out there and don't party too hard tonight. :)

Happy New Year!

I'm too tired to think of a catchy title

Hello my vast audience. All two of you. I've been a bad little blogger. I need to post more often, I know. It just seems like there's never enough time to get my thoughts together. And by the time I've gotten them together, something else happens that needs more time and more thoughts. I feel like I just can't keep up with life. I'm behind on everything. From blogging to mundane around-the-house stuff. I'm just behind. I've been feeling very overwhelmed lately, by everything I have to do and just life in general. But I want to try to make a few little changes and hopefully that will help me feel better and deal with things better.

I've been keeping a running list of things I need to blog about, so hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can make the time to sit down and write. Although with the holidays coming, I might not be able to until next year. I really need to do this though. It will really help me to be able to clear my head and get everything out. So if you start to see a ridiculous amount of new posts from me in a ridiculously short amount of time, just know that that's what I'm doing. Trying to empty my head.

I'm thinking I might also do a complete redesign of my blog. The purple swirly thingies aren't really doing it for me anymore. This will probably take awhile, since I had such a hard time getting things set up when I started blogging. Plus, who knows, they've probably changed how to do everything anyway, so I'll just have to figure it all out again. I'll focus on posting more first, then when I'm fairly caught up I'll start on the redesign.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned...
